This picture, is meant to be a photo of something “mysterical”, or otherworldly. This was really inspired my the tv show tha tI’ve been watching the most lately, Supernatural. In the show, we see an appearance of the four horsemen of the Apocolypse. their title lead me to think about the possibility of, if they had real horses, what do they do while they wait for the Apocolypse? So, here they are represented in a “pasture” while they wait for their own need. This picture held several challenges because of the horse’s colors; White, red, black, and “pale.” All of these horses stemmed from my own photography, and were edited to this final stage of looking like pure digital art. I felt like it was necessary to have some aspect of the image be more unrealistic than realistic to emphasize the dramatic background of the “Apocoypse.” Much of the editing on the horses was done using the color replacement tool, as well as the burn and dodge tool to get the shadows and the highlights.
